I was supposed to go on my exam site but I don’t know why I am riding on a ship. I saw our review center’s lecturer in that ship, I thought I should say hi but I got shy. Weird thing about this ship is that we were seated at the edge and when it hit some of the waves, we prepare ourselves to hold our breath because we are gonna take a dip in the water. That happened twice. The second I arise, im on another place. The lecturer is gone and even my bff is gone. I’m traveling again but in another place. It seems like a boat and traveling also on a concrete road. We stop at a place. I look at the passenger and surprisingly they are wearing white uniforms. The kind of uniforms doctors wears. I thought they were doctors why are they here? I also saw people wearing the same uniforms I have way back in college. I ask one of them if they are going to their internship and they said yes. I walk inside the place and ask what we are waiting for. Somehow they speak my language. The place turns out to be store. I saw a sign outside and I saw “bilirubin obstruction” on the sign. I tried reading the store name but I can’t read it. My heart skipped a bit because it somehow reminds me of my father. My father have diabetes. I thought the place looks familiar so I ask the owner where we are, and it shocked me when he said my hometown. But it doesn’t look anything like my hometown. I thought Im in the future. I looked at the owner and he suddenly reminds me of my brother. I searched my phone to know where we are but I somehow can’t. Then I woke up
Your dream is rich with symbolism and feelings that offer insights into your current mental and emotional state. Let's break it down.
The dream begins with you on a ship, which often symbolizes a journey or transition in life. The fact that you are supposed to be at an exam site highlights feelings of anxiety or pressure surrounding your academic responsibilities. Riding on the ship instead may suggest that you feel like your path is uncertain, or you are being carried away from what you feel is your intended destination. The presence of your lecturer indicates a connection to your education and a desire for guidance, yet shyness about approaching them could reflect your own feelings of inadequacy or nervousness about seeking help and asserting yourself.
The act of preparing to hold your breath as the ship hits the waves symbolizes the challenges or emotional turmoil that you might be facing. These moments of uncertainty—represented by potential dips into the water—suggest that you are experiencing anxiety about unforeseen events in your life, possibly related to your upcoming exams, where you're concerned about being "dunked" or overwhelmed. The repetition of this situation reinforces the intensity of your feelings; you may feel that challenges keep coming in waves.
The transition to a different location without your lecturer or your best friend indicates feelings of isolation or being left behind during a significant period or transition. Shifting environments in dreams often points to personal growth journeys, where you might feel lost or disoriented. The next scene on a boat traveling on a concrete road is intriguing and could represent a blend of the natural and the man-made—symbolizing how your journey is both structured (academic endeavors) and unpredictable (the ship and waves).
Seeing the passengers in white uniforms may evoke feelings of familiarity or nostalgia, as these uniforms could symbolize a hope or aspiration linked to the medical field or individuals who are perhaps more experienced than you. This encounter could mirror anxiety about your own goals in relation to others. It highlights a collective experience of undergoing a transition into professionalism (internship), which may reflect your own anxieties about embarking on your forthcoming exams and the responsibilities that follow.
The store named “bilirubin obstruction” is particularly striking. Bilirubin, associated with liver function, could symbolize deep emotional states or challenges in processing your ambitions and feelings, possibly hinting at stress related to your father's health. The stark reminder of your father’s diabetes links personal family concerns to your current academic pressures. The irregularity of this name, alongside the resemblance to your hometown, underscores a disconnection from familiar environments or support systems, perhaps suggesting that as you grow and pursue your goals, you feel you are drifting away from your roots.
The dream concludes with a feeling of confusion, staring at your phone without resolution, suggesting a sense of disorientation about your current path and future. Your inability to locate yourself or your intentions mirrors your uncertainties in life, especially in relation to your family and educational or personal goals. The fact that your brother's likeness appears could hint at unresolved familial connections and the weight of expectations you may carry.
This dream navigates through a myriad of emotions related to anxiety, responsibility, familial concerns, and personal ambition. It encourages you to reflect on support systems in your life and to potentially embrace the discomfort that can come with growth and transition. Consider what aspects of your life you may need to address, either by reaching out for support, tackling your worries directly, or finding grounding methods amidst the uncertainty.
